Bees are largely responsible for pollinating many of the plants we depend on for food. If they weren’t around, we would likely have a food crisis. They also give us honey, which we use for a myriad of uses. Bees are simply remarkable creatures, and we should do everything in our power to help them thrive and expand their population.

However, bees often move in search of new habitats, and the places they find perfect to build their hives aren’t always ideal for us. You’ll often find them seeking shelter in cavities around your property, especially enclosed, dry, and protected spaces such as wall voids, tree hollows, and between the floors of a structure.

When they are in areas that have frequent on-foot traffic, bees can become a threat to humans, especially for people with allergies. Moreover, based on the location of the colony, the honey could damage structural materials like drywall, which may also attract rodents and insects. If you have unwanted bees on your property, consider requesting our professional bee removal services today.

Our Bee Removal process

During our live bee removal, we will first vacuum the majority of the initial defense bees into a bee box. The remaining worker bees and the nurse bees are left sitting on the brood (bees to be), which will then be cut out and placed into a box. This ensures that the brood stays at the right temperature during the relocation process. Occasionally, we might use heat pads during extremely cold weather.

The walls are then scraped down to remove as much wax as possible and ensure the remainder of the colony is removed. Next, we vacuum the area beneath the colony to get rid of any fallen and dead bees. Any of the remaining flying bees in the area will be vacuumed into the bee box.

Following the bee removal process, there may be several inches of dead bees left behind. These can be a source of food for a variety of pests, including beetles and moths. If we can’t get to these dead bees, we’ll discuss alternate options to help prevent pest infestation.
